The Solent Cruiser race format adds a little variety to the usual racing event. The race is over a set course but you are allowed to use your engine for a percentage of the elapsed time. This introduces a dierent strategy, agile arithmetic, and the certainty of arriving at the destination in time for the social part of the rally.
The sailing instructions and courses will be available nearer the time. There is a £10 charge for those racing to cover glassware.
There will be three races, each of about three hours, a pontoon party at Shepards Marina and an evening meal in Gunwharf Quays.
This year the legs are:
- Hamble to Shepards Marina
- Shepards Marina to Gunwharf Quays
- Gunwharf Quays to Hamble
